At Lantern Alley Restaurant – Gordon, our story is deeply personal — built from the love of food, family, and the memories shared around the dinner table.

Founded and run by a husband and wife team, Lantern Alley was inspired by the cooking and traditions of our two mothers, whose recipes, techniques, and passion for hospitality shaped the way we experience Vietnamese cuisine today.

Growing up, food was always at the centre of family gatherings — simmering broths in the kitchen, fresh herbs on the table, shared meals that brought generations together, and recipes lovingly passed down over time. Those moments became the foundation of Lantern Alley.

Inspired by the glowing charm of Hội An and the rich culinary diversity across all three regions of Vietnam, we created Lantern Alley as a place where authentic Vietnamese flavours meet modern dining in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

From the delicate comfort of Northern dishes, to the vibrant spices of Central Vietnam, and the bold, soulful flavours of the South, every dish reflects the traditions we grew up with — refined carefully with a contemporary touch.
